Immediately became my favorite in my collection. Accurate, durable, and double-action pull is silky smooth! Good looking gun, too!

The gun arrived quickly and in good shape. I love everything about the GP100, one of the most intuitive and pointable revolvers I have ever held in my hands. Accuracy is great and recoil is negligible.

I bought the GP 100 in 357 caliber because I had numerous 357 revolvers and lots of ammunition. My grandson was home from the Air Force and we went to the range to do some shooting. We set up targets at 25 and 50 yards. We were amazed that at 50 yards we could hit the target. The GP100 shoots really good and my grandson says, I need to get me one of these.

Researched S&W, Taurus, and Ruger. My gunsmith recommend Ruger for its quality and modular design. The modular design lets you remove the trigger with its 15 or so pieces as one assembly. The gunsmiths like this ideal because it saves time when making repairs or customizing. Saving you money. I know Ruger from my Super Single Six, so I know they make quality guns. This gun is no different. It is a very handsome looking with its clean lines stainless steel construction and you know it means business. I shot about 120 rounds at the range and I love it. I highly recommend the GP-100 Math Champion

Good for beginners Low Recoil even for .357 Magnum Not forward heavy (I like half lugs more than full lugs too) I'm a small person so I switched out the wooden grips with rubber compact grips. Still fills my whole hand without being too bulky. Chose the fixed sights purely as a personal preference, seems pretty accurate. No problems shooting it, fired most of the mainstream factory ammo pretty well. Overall very handsome and accurate revolver but I do plan on getting that billboard removed...

What a beautiful revolver. Top of the line and the price, nobody could beat it. I have purchased over 35 guns from Buds, only one hitch, had a wrong sku number, but they made it right quickly. They are the go to company.

As always the service at buds was great. This will be my third GP100 and so far the worst upon arrival. The grips felt nice, the grip angle was very nice, and the gun was very clean. However the double action trigger pull was ridiculously heavy. The single action pull had an excessive amount of creep and was also much heavier than other revolvers I own. Certainly not what I expected for what is marketed as a competition revolver. Before even taking it to the range I ordered he said of Springs and installed. Upon disassembly I found one of the hammer bushings inside the gun bent up. Flatten out the washer and reassembled with new Springs and both bushings properly in place. Double action pull which greatly improved however double action still has excessive creep. Even with the bushings properly installed the play in the hammer side to side is triple as it is on my other non-competition revolvers. First day at the range the gun pointed and shot great. Accuracy at 21 yards was spot on. After about a couple hundred rounds the hardwood grips begin biting the web on my thumb to the point or I could no longer shoot it. Order a set of rubber Hogue grips that eliminated the bite. A trip to the gunsmith is due to eliminate the trigger creep. In the end I guess I would not recommend this gun to a friend as a purchase. I have several non-competition Smith & Wesson revolvers that out of the box shot just as well had a better trigger and were very comfortable to shoot. Cosmetically the slabside barrel is nice but huge engraving is a bit gaudy. Sometimes less is more.

Great looking Revolver. Mechanically tight and functions great. Have not shot it yet so can't comment on that part. I feel positive it will shoot as well as it looks though.

VERY IMPRESS WITH THE MATCH CHAMPION. BUD'S DELIVERY WAS FAST AND NO HASSLE... P/U AT MY LOCAL FFL. INSPECTED IT ,AND WAS VERY SATISFIED. BEAUTIFUL PIECE. HAD A 357 S&W MODEL 19 AND NEEDED TO REPLACE IT. THIS MATCH CHAMPION HAS DONE IT FOR ME. WELL WORTH IT....MY EXPERIENCE WITH BUD'S IS A+++++

Not happy. Took gun apart after picking up from FFL. Pin that holds in hammer in place is intended to be a slip fit, pin was pressed in and took over an hour to get out. I had to sand the pin so it would fit without requiring a press. Finally got gun apart and found metal shavings inside the gun from manufacturing process. While reassembling, I found the shims on both side of the hammer had large burrs and did not lay flat. Took another 30 minutes to get the burrs sanded off of shims. I own 5 Ruger revolvers and the "Match Champion" has a rougher trigger and more issues than any other Ruger I own. I have been reading Ruger QC has been slipping and unfortunately I am now a beilver this is true. Buy with caution.

It's a beauty, and a great shooter. All the fat trimmed off and well balanced, after more then 40 years since the Security Six & GP-100 this is a refined, well build revolver. One of the finest revolvers I have ever owned, good job Ruger. Ill keep it and shoot the hell out of it. I know it will last, it has that feel. If you want a wheel gun , you will be happy with one ! Bud's had the best price that I found, and all went smooth from them.

I have only put 200 rounds through my Match Champion, but it is obvious that the accuracy is outstanding. The internal parts on the Match Champion have been polished at the Ruger factory and the double action pull on this gun is very smooth. In fact, the D.A. pull is so smooth that I haven't bothered to shoot the gun single action yet. Even so, the groups I have put up while shooting double action are among the tightest I have ever put up. In double action mode, this gun easily out shoots my S&W 686. This is easily one of my favorite guns and I think it is worth the extra cost over a standard GP100.

Just picked up one today and promptly took it out to the range all I can say is amazing the quality, finish, balance, trigger action, accuracy are more then I expected. I put it above my S&W 986 in those regards. The service I've gotten from Bud's is beyond reproach this is the fifth weapon purchased from them and I work at a nationally known outdoors sport supply facility. Low prices ,layaway plan, free shipping and no sales tax why wouldn't you buy from Buds.

Ewwwww Weee did Ruger get this one right folks! For the money this is the best midsize revolver you can buy! Great features, excellent trigger, bright sights, Hogue grips, target crown, and on and on and on! I luv my S&W's but this one for the money has their number! I highly recommend this revolver, she's a beauty and I luv it! Buds had this one to me in 3 days! Very happy with my purchase!
