Db-FS9 was one of the best budget guns as far as shootability and handling goes. Even though then magazine were a nuisance to load, but was easily overcome by easyloader. The Issue started about 5th or 6th magazine as it started to show failures. Failure to feed, failure to fire. and now it started to do something even extraordinary!!!! it started to act like a automatic..No kidding!!!.....my last range time, i wanted to try it one last time with a new magazine, and this beaut of a thing shot 3 rounds with one pull. making me question everyting holly. I dont know what i will do with this, but for now i will use it as paper weight. i dont want to get rid of it as this was my first gun.....

Absolute junk and waste of money. Rounds always jam either on load or extraction. Magazines are cheap and chip easily, also rubbing on the barrel causing barrel burrs.
I don't even remember why I bought this thing! Oh yea, a cheap plinker... Needless to say its a decorative paperweight now. (I gorilla epoxied the magazine to the frame)

You can not talk about a product from an online source until you recognize the service you received from the sender during the process. The Buds process with the firearm and the buyer is exceptional. They are willing to work with you through any situation and actually care about what the customer wants. The company worked with me and my schedule to ease the frustration of online ordering and FFL dealers. Shipping was REALLY FAST, 2 day Max for me. When I was notified that my product arrived at my FFL, immediately I went straight there to inspect the firearm. I will say, I did not see or feel any destruction towards the shipping box or the firearm. I was very pleased and shocked knowing that other shippers did not care about packages. Buds treated it so well and with care until it got in to my own hands. Buds, thank you so much. The Diamondback DB9 FS is an amazing, and I mean amazing firearm. If you have done your research on this firearm (like I did before purchasing it), you will notice that this firearm does not get much praise for what it is and what it can do. It kind of seem like people are expecting a "Glock" replica from Diamondback, then starts to throw a "hissy fit" when it is not. Some say "it is a terrible home defense firearm" or "the trigger pull is just too much". The longer you are with a firearm, you will start to mold that instrument to feel and look better in your hands and your every day life. Mind you, there were some good thoughts about the firearm as well. My experience with it was magnificent! I used this product on my first USPSA Match in Limited Division. I must say, I had a lot of fun and the firearm ran flawlessly. It came to my FFL dealer on Monday. I was only able to do dry fire drills and mag drills with it due to my military orders I had on the next day. I returned later that week and did more dry fire drills and I was still unable to do live fire with it. At this rate, the DB9 FS was still brand new, never been fired by me. Match day came around and I was excited and nervous all at the same time. There were 5 classifiers that day and I passed all of them with the Diamondback DB9FS. Shooting the full size for the first time was a breeze. For being my first match, I am actually proud of myself. I have scored a lot of A’s that blew my mind. I used Winchester W 147gr and Winchester Nato, and it ran smooth. The sights are a real nice and clear 3 dot sight format. Some of the parts on this firearm are Glock changeable, like the sights, etc. The hand swell fits really well in the hands. The "stippling" could be a little more aggressor in my opinion. The picatinny rail is extremely long, you will never have to worry about not having enough space for your accessories. Honestly, from what I experienced that day, I can assure you that my review on the Diamondback DB9FS is a good one, for it ran remarkably well right out of the case. I approve on this firearm and will continue to use it in my next matches. I wish that the company could make some add ons for it, like a mag well, etc.

Really excellent gun. Fun to shoot. Pretty accurate out of the box exspecially I am not a great shooter for an average joe. Buds sent it out quick cant beat the price for such an excellent product. 500 rounds through it not a problem yet.

I am pleased with the feel of this firearm but unfortunately that is all I can say is good about it. It is a great pistol if you want to practice malfunctions. Constant double feeds and failure to eject. I have sent it back to the manufacture 3 times and the problem has never been fixed. I have nothing negative to say about the company itself they have been very quick and polite.

Decent full-size, it's not the best. Definitely something I would keep in a bug out bag or tucked away just in case. Feed it premium ammo and it'll eat it up all day.

Weapon at a great price thanks to Buds Gun Shop once again!!! It worked the first time to the range but never again. That is on Diamondback with FTF issues. Save your money and put it toward a Smith M&P!

I bought this Diamondback based off of experience with their AR products and the price intrigued me so I figured why not. It Performs fine, is a bargain type gun so bear that in mind when purchasing. The only complaint I would voice after mentioning that you ARE buying a bargain gun is that I found the 'dust cover' area of the frame to be bent/warped noticeably right out of the box. It doesn't seem to affect performance or function any at all, it's just visually annoying. It seems to me that maybe this area as a whole is too thin - could have used either more material (which in my opinion would make it look too bulky) or some form of stiffener (metal insert) to keep the frame from deforming - but I don't know anything about forming a frame. Again, for the price, a decent piece, certainly better than some others (i won't mention any names) in this price range. I would buy another and as always my transaction through Bud's was flawless. Thanks.

I wish I could recommend this gun. I prefer to buy American whenever possible. However, for just slightly more money there are many better Firearms available. Let me list just a few of the problems that I've had with this firearm. Most troublesome is the light Striker. This results in Failure to fire with several different types of ammunition. In the guns defense, several other brands were problem-free. Your mileage may vary. There's a small pin on the side of the gun. It begins working its way out as soon as you begin firing the gun. This was easily remedied with some Loctite. However, this should never be necessary. It also makes me wonder what's going on inside the gun that I can't easily see. Accuracy with the firearm is poor. Granted, I'm not the best shot in the world. However every other gun I fire results in smaller groupings than this one. The trigger. Travel and reset are long. The brake is erratic and the pull is heavier than advertised. On the plus side this gun is great to practice trigger discipline. The magazine. First off it only comes with one. Many other guns come with 2. This is an added expense that will cause the effective price of the gun to go up. The spring in the magazine is really stiff. This corrects itself with time. The speed loader certainly helps. This is just annoying and unnecessary. Buds is a great company. I have no problem with the sale. I would recommend them to anyone. However, they sell many guns for very similar prices to this that are far superior. Take a look at Canik or TriStar just to name two. I also own a Canik tp9sa. It has a great trigger. Fires flawlessly. Comes with two magazines a holster and cleaning supplies and is only the cost of a couple of hundred rounds of ammo more than this gun.

I bought this pistol almost 10 months ago. I thought it looked pretty cool, a friend of mine has one, and it seemed like a pretty good shooter for the range.... then I received my own. I only use 115gr Remington 9mm ammo, which happened to be a good idea since I found out AFTER buying this pistol, that the warranty is voided with pretty much any other grain and p rounds being fired through the DB FS Nine. Even 115gr ammo seem too powerful for this pistol. A pin kept popping out after every couple magazines, same thing my friend had happen, which he forgot to tell me about. I finally used some threadlock to keep it in. I probably get 1 failed ejection every 50 rounds, The big kicker was today.... the part of the slide that holds back the recoil spring just snapped right off, the slide is jammed all the way back and to finish off a bad day, when I called about getting my gun fixed or just outright replaced, DB told me I didn't register it for the warranty. But I did. I had to mail in the warranty registration because their defective website doesn't work. I looked online for some resolution ideas and see if anybody else got snubbed by Diamondback and there are ALOT of stories of the spring holder on the slide breaking off and then Diamondback refuses to acknowledge any fault and claim the warranties were never sent in.

I purchased this gun from Bud's last week and so far I'm very happy with my purchase. I love the look and design of it and it feels great in my hands. The gun is also very light for it's size. So far I've put about 100 rounds of cheap Federal ammunition through it with no issues. I wish it came with more than 1 magazine but you can purchase additional magazines online directly from Diamondback. Thank you to Bud's for another great transaction!

After initial break in of firearm it has been 100%. Love the feel of it & points like a 1911. Only complaint is front sight is shifted slightly to one side; but what can you expect for less than $290.00. Would buy again.

I ordered the dbfs9 on line,a couple of days later I got the email ready for pickup.I also ordered three extra mags. The next day I tried the gun out.I loaded two mags,at the end of the second mag the rear sight fell off.A bit of locktite btook care of it.You will need a mag loader to made loading the last two rounds easier. The gun worked without problem. For the money you cannot beat it. buds price is thje lowest. One other thing, remember to lube it before taking it to the range. It comes new and dry.

I have had zero problems with this firearm. The only issue for me and it's minor is the glock style safety is sharp finger started hurting after a while.Normal fast and painless Buds guns transaction.

First time buying from buds. Bought the gun just before New Years, very pleased with the fast shipping. Got the gun, cleaned it, shot 300 rounds of winchester 115gr no issues. My only complaint is it only comes with 1 magazine and you'll need some force to load the 14th & 15th round. Overall a very satisfied customer.

First, let me thank Buds for a great experience. Shipping was fast, especially since I ordered this the night before Christmas. I got the product in less than a week. So from a first time buyer, you have secured another customer. So I guess I should preface this review by saying I haven't gotten a chance to fire this handgun yet, and this is my first handgun purchase, but there are two things that just aren't sitting right with me. The dust cover towards the end of the muzzle is drooping about an 1/8th of an inch. I'm not sure if this will affect anything, my guess is probably not, but it's extremely annoying. I feel like it's all I look at. I've seen some videos of Glock owners fixing theirs with a heat gun, but I'm not sure I want to do this. The second thing that worries me is the slide release. It just doesn't want to release, even when I drop the magazine. It absolutely won't release when the mag is in, but it's almost like it's trying when I drop the magazine. I'm not sure what to do. I did buy the Buds warranty, and am shortly going to register my warranty with Diamondback, but from what I hear of their customer service, I won't have my gun for a very long time. I should have brought someone who was better "in the know" about firearms. I probably wouldn't have taken the transfer. All that being said, aside from the frame droop, may the slide release will wear in once I start shooting. Here's to hoping I guess.
