This is the first purchase I made through Buds. I went to install the scope on this 700 and three of the factory screws came out easy. The fourth screw (closest to the barrel) was really tight. I made sure I had a good screwdriver attached and applied a lot of torque. I was able to turn the screw out one turn and it got real tight. After this, I busted the head of the screw off. I called Remington and they issued a repair order. Sent last Thursday and received today. The turn around was excellent. Even though there was a problem with the gun from new, Remington did an awesome job to correct it. Thanks Remington.

I like this gun especially for it's 1:12 barrel. It seems most .223 manufacturers have a catch-all twist rate for lighter and heavier bullets. I reload and will use this predominately for prairie dogs. I use lighter/cheaper bullets and this gun reaches out there with accuracy and with more terminal velocity than a gun with a faster twist. First time I took it out there were about 25 dogs mist-a-fied by it's accuracy. It's nothing fancy, just a good solid rifle with a good trigger. The plastic stock scuffs easily and I certainly prefer a box magazine especially with a .223. It's been my experience that double feed internal box in .223 don't always feed well. This one misses a beat every so often. Overall, I would recommend this gun for it's price and quality...made in USA. I've never missed yet with Buds either.
