Hi Eric, I would remove the modified choke and replace it with another cylinder choke tube. You can shoot slugs through a modified choke, particularly with lead slugs, but the accuracy may not be optimal. It's recommended to use a cylinder bore or improved cylinder choke for best accuracy. Hi Eric and welcome. This model is fine to shot slugs through either Cylinder or Modified Chokes. Never fire slugs through any Full Chokes. I have a similar Coach Gun and get the best accuracy out of the Cylinder Choke with 1 oz Foster Type Rifled slugs and through the Modified Choke with 7/8 oz Foster Type Rifled slugs.
