John, I have not had any issues as I clean my firearms after each use and use anti-rust/corrosion storage bags. I would not hesitate on the Pietta's 1858 Remington Stainless Steel new army pistol. ---------- https://www.zerustproducts.com/products/firearms-ammo-weapons/vci-gun-storage-bags/
Hi, I don't think you need to be concern with the rusting issues on 1858 Remington stainless steel as long as you clean and oil immediately after shooting and don't shoot corrosive ammo. That being said, Uberti 1858 is of higher quality in my opinion. It is close to real 1858 in dimension and feel. I also like Uberti's finish better. I hope this helps.
