I have a browning gold and Winchester sx4. While I wouldn’t call them safe queens, I hated taking them chukar hunting where I was constantly slipping and falling down steep grade mountains. I wanted something that I wouldn’t be too bothered by getting a few extra scratches on. This fit the bill. I know Weatherby came out with the element 2 but the upgrades vs increased cost didn’t seem worth it to me. This thing is well worth the money and it fits me better than my other shotguns. I like it so much I bought 2 more for my sons as well.

Great gun. Looks and feels perfect. I didn't need it, but the shotgun is adjustable for length of pull and cant, but it fit perfectly. Took it out and shot a few to pattern the shotgun, it was right on point of aim. I didn't need to adjust a thing. Very low recoil. Great all around shotgun.

I ordered the 28" barrel version and thus far I am very happy with the shotgun. I have taken it squirrel hunting the last 3 weekends in a row. It's very lightweight and points very well for me. I am 6'3" so the length of pull that others complain about fits me just fine. It is compatible with Mossberg Accu-chokes which I already have a variety of. I have close to 100 rounds thru the gun, I have experienced 2 stove pipes on ejection but I chock that up to break in period. It runs light loads with no issues and has run and patterned #4's, #5's, and #6's great. Good purchase overall and light on the recoil as well even with 3" buckshot loads.

I am very happy with this shotgun. I bought it last year because I wanted something versatile. The price was what attracted me at first but after shooting a few hundred rounds through it, I couldn’t be happier. I had one misfire during a sporting clay outing and I chalked that up to light kid/low quality. Very happy so far. I would buy it all over again.

Love the shotgun. Price, build and Buds lifetime warranty. Received it within a couple of days even with the rain storms, tornados and staffing shortages. Gun is well built, rugged, I think it will handle anything I put it through. Definitely like the matt finish on the metal, it shouldn’t reflect any light.. It’s light and shoulders good although the LOP is a little long for me. I wish I could shorten it just a little but with Weatherby’s recoil pad I don’t think I can do it. Overall I’m very satisfied with the shotgun and would buy it again and as usual I’m very happy using Bud’s Gun Shop.

This is a really awesome shotgun hardly any recoil I shoot on a trap league and I shot my second 25 straight with this shotgun right out of the box! Looking forward to shooting skeet, and bird hunting in the fall with this shotgun!

Great shotgun! I purposely waited about a year to review, so I can give an honest opinion and it's truly awesome. Super lightweight, which means a lot of kick, but it's super easy to sling and carry through the water and muck

    Kirk, no, this is not drilled and tapped in order to mount an optic. You can take this to a qualified gunsmith and they could drill and tap it for you. There's also likely some type of mount you could purchase separately to mount one. Sorry but hope this helps.
