• Q: Is this gun ideal for turkey hunting or should I look for a different gun?

• Q: What would be the recommended recoil pad for this weapon. How hard would it be to change it

• Q: I am getting ready to purchase the Stevens 320. Are there any current problems with this weapon? I have seen the problems of the past. I am checking to make sure they have been addressed. Looking for the field dressed models in 12 guage to the 410. Any help would be appreciated

• Q: I was told to get a shotgun for home protection so I was wondering if this was a good one to learn to use? Also is the kick/recoil strong on the shoulder? I have a .38 special for home but was told rifle or shotgun was better. Thanks

  Hi Debra,
  The recoil on this shotgun really depends on the type of ammunition you use (Birdshot, buckshot, etc) however, it still will be relatively strong if you going to use home defense ammunition. Another issue is the length of the shotgun, this particular gun features 28 inches barrel which can be too long for tight maneuver in-home defense situation (This particular gun is mainly for hunting). If you want home defense shotgun and worry about recoil, I recommend looking at 20 gauge or even 16 gauge shotgun with a barrel length between 18.5 to 21 inches. These would provide you with compact, lightweight, low recoil gun that would be good for home defense. If you want to stick with 12 gauge (this will provide you with most options and I recommend this the most) try to look for reducing recoil ammunition. There is a huge market for low recoil ammo for 12 ga and they are easy to find and relatively cheap.

• Q: Does it come with bead sight? I see it listed in the description, but not in the photo.

  This firearm does come with a bead sight. Due to its size and photoshopping done by Buds, the sight is practically invisible in this picture.
