The Brownells Threaded Sleeve for Savage Large Only is a replacement/interchangeable sleeve used with a spring-loaded, straight-back lapping setup to keep bolt lugs square against the receiver during precision lapping. Using 600 to 800 grit silicon carbide abrasive, it helps deliver more consistent contact than applying pressure by hand.
