Description
Product Overview
The Marlin Model 1894 Classic Series is a traditional lever-action rifle chambered for .357 Mag and capable of firing .38 Special ammunition. Its alloy-steel receiver, lever, and trigger guard plate are CNC machined from forgings, while the cold hammer-forged alloy-steel barrel delivers durable, precise rifling. The receiver features a blue satin finish, and the black walnut stock and forend include sharp checkering for a secure hold. Adjustable semi-buckhorn sights support quick target acquisition, while the receiver-mounted loading gate provides convenient access to the tubular magazine. A push-button cross-bolt manual safety, half-cock hammer, soft rubber buttpad, sling swivel studs, and offset hammer spur complete the practical field-ready configuration.

Received yesterday and...
Received yesterday and this Marlin has a fantastic walnut wood with great grain lines and a great oiled wood finish with a very nice checkering. Fit and finish on the money and it shoots great after 200 rounds. Just a little on the lever stiff side but working out the more you shoot. Bud's got it to me in 2 days after purchase at a great price. If your looking for a very well made and looking 357 lever action this Marling made by Ruger is the way to go :)

I waited for years to...
I waited for years to purchase one of these but now am so glad I did. This is a Ruger made Marlin and it is done up right. Action was smooth out of the box and accuracy is impressive. Installed Skinner sights. I have been able to ring 12 inch steel consistently at 200 yards the last two times out. (Which is pretty good for my eyes) Bud's was great to work with. I am very happy with both the rifle and the service from Bud's

My first Marlin and...
My first Marlin and first handgun caliber in a lever action. Bud's did a great job as always, shipping was rather bizarre as it arrived two months after shipping. Thanks to Bud's for the trace and getting it moving again across a tour of many areas normal shipments from Bud's haven't gone through. Cleaned the gun and then to the range. Using the as built open sights and off hand I shot five shot strings of two different 357 mag. ammo. Consistent groupings of 1" with ammo A and 3/4" ammo B at 100 yards made me smile. I'm certain adding a scope and on the bench groups would tighten up some. Bottom line is I'm more than pleased, especially after fifty consecutive hits on a 6" plate at a hundred. Action smoothed out very quickly, trigger is fine for a hunting rifle. I'm thinking about another Marlin now in 45LC, we will see. I would love to see Ruger bring back the 444 Marlin, never owned one but shot a friends years ago.
