The Tristar Arms Viper G2 is a 20 Gauge semi-automatic hunting shotgun configured with a 28 inch chrome-lined barrel and a 3 inch chamber. Its black synthetic stock and forearm provide a durable, weather-resistant platform, while the blued metal finish offers traditional field styling. A fiber optic front sight helps the shooter acquire targets in variable lighting. The shotgun uses a cross-bolt manual safety, includes an E-Z Load magazine cut-off, and accepts Beretta-style choke tubes in improved cylinder, modified, and full constrictions. Factory standard models use a fixed tubular magazine with a 5+1 capacity and include a shot plug for reduced capacity when required for hunting regulations.

Tristar Viper G2,...
Tristar Viper G2, 20ga, 28", synthetic stock. Weighs right at 6.5lbs, not the advertised weight of 6.2lbs. Quite a nice gun actually. Fired light dove loads right out of the box, no break in required. Trigger pull is over 6.5lbs but I never noticed it when shooting. Fit and finish is better than I thought it would be, I see no defects. I kinda like the "soft touch" stock, makes it not feel like just cold, hard plastic. Has a bit of a weight forward feels as the recoil spring is around the magazine tube rather than in the buttstock. Factory chokes don't have the proper constriction. For example the "modified" tube measure .609". For a .620" bore, a modified tube should measure closer to .600". All in all, this gun is really a heck of a value and I'd highly recommend it if the 6.5lb weight doesn't bother you.
