Great product! I was looking for a 1911 in .40, and this is about the only one out there currently being made. I've never owned a Rock Island product before so had some reservations but I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this pistol. Everything is tight on it, it's well made, and fit and finish exceeded my expectations. It's not a $1500 finish but again, you're not paying that for it (it's still nice, check out Youtube videos for close ups). I've put about 150 rounds through it (both FMJ and JHP) and it hasn't had a single problem cycling. The only issue I had (and it's been noted on a few Youtube videos) is that the factory magazine failed to lock open about 40% of the time. I bought a couple of Wilson Combat magazines and the problem is solved...smooth and flawless operation. Bottom line: If you're looking for a 1911 in .40, or just looking for a way to enjoy some of that .40 ammo you've got and you're tired of a Glock or XDM, this is a great alternative. It makes the .40 fun again! Highly recommended!

Absolutely beautiful 1911. So far (100 Rounds) no failures. Dead on sights. Only drawback is hard to find holsters.

I have owned dozens of 1911 s since the 70s Colts SA all fairly expensive, but the last couple of years I have tried the Tisas 1911s I take them to the range, load up twenty or thirty mags & start firing I honestly have not had a failure to feed or a stove pipe. I reluctantly watch YouTube & cringe listening to these guys badmouthing Tisas & Girsan pistols I have sent back my share of Sigs. SA & Colts. Dollar for dollar these or good shooting 1911s & worth the cost if you're on a family budget The A1Tanker is a heavy 45 & demands respect when you pull it out of your carry bag at the range for less then 400$ bucks shipping & dealer. FFL that's a good deal for a 1911 45 plus two mags with bumpers. 5 stars. Thanks Buds.
