I am completely satisfied with this revolver. The Anaconda is extremely well built and engineered. The fit and finish are top notch, and the action is amazingly smooth. It was very accurate and easy to shoot, in both double and single action. The cylinder stop-notches are offset, so this looks to be a positive for the strength of the cylinder. The Colt cylinder is also longer than the cylinder on a 6" S&W 25-9, so will accommodate longer length/heavier bullets, a definite plus for the handloader. I conducted a side-by-side comparison with a 6" S&W 25-9 in .45 Colt. The Anaconda is appreciably heavier, so the felt recoil was a lot less...very easy to take follow-on shots compared to the Smith. I also chronographed the Anaconda and the Smith. The same load in both pistols averaged 925 fps for the Smith and 975 fps for the Colt. That was a welcome surprise. Being heavier, the Colt loses out to the Smith with regards to carry comfort. I have a chest rig that will work well with the Colt, but carrying it on the hip is definitely not preferred. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I think the Colt will now take over the field and hunting duties for which I formerly used the Smith.

Great gun, especially to conceal. Handles really well on the range and has spit everything I've put through it without jamming so far. Thanks Bud's guns for another great sale.

My wife loves this gun. Fits her hand perfect. Weight is just right. Fits in her purse easily. Couldn't be better for her and the color is what she loved as well.
