A: Even Ruger isn't saying much beyond that it's cold hammer forged. I I did some more digging though and it's apparently 4140 chrome-moly steel. Not chrome lined, but the melonite-esque finish they use should hold up just fine.

A: Very simple system, simply place the item in your cart as normal, proceed to checkout and then select the option for layaway. Depending the firearm, either a 90 day or 180 day possibility. Note that used guns and certain others are only available to Team Buds members for layaway.
