I've always wanted a side x side shotgun and when this one went on sale, I jumped at it. It's a great shotgun and a heck of a lot of fun. Sure it kicks like a mule and I wouldn't have it any other way. If the cowboys in the old times could handle the kick, so can I. It's a quality product at a fantastic price. It's also a good looking firearm.

Gun is very accurate and I was pleasantly surprised with the recoil reduction of the muzzle break. Bolt wasn't as smooth out of the box as the Browning x-bolt and seemed a little "sticky" at first but it loosened up after about 20 rounds and a good cleaning.

The finish on the Ruger is very good. The action of the Gen2 is smooth and I have not experienced any mis-feeds. The rifle sighted in fairly quickly and running different 350 legend ammo through it I found the Barnes VORTX and Horandy FTX to group the best. Took a small Catskills buck with the 165gr Hornady with a double lung shot that dropped him in 20 yards. Great rifle!

I tested these on my Saur combination (16ga over 7x57R) with the scope on. At 50 yards I had a nice group about 4" high out of a smooth bore. Great product!
