I bought a pair of these compact size pistols. Handsome, with the proper old school two tone scheme. Rugged in the extreme. Simple disassembly. Reliable, no FTE or FTF ever! Hammer is stiffly sprung, but manageable. Single action trigger a bit mushy, typical of a military grade pistol. Accepts all Arcus and Browning Hi Power magazines. Thirty two round stick magazines are available.

I bought the 98DAC because my best shooter is my Browning Hi Power, I was hoping this would be as fun to shoot. Although it is not as accurate as my Hi Power, its pretty accurate and feels really good in the hand. I figured with the price, at worst it can be a fixer upper, I shot about 300 rounds through it with zero FTE/FTF, I kept a 2.5" group at 8 yards. Now as of late and for the fun of it, I had a local gun smith polish the insides and cerakoted the entire gun nickel and it looks awesome. You cant go wrong with this handgun, it has a decent finish, you can see tool marks but it is built like a tank. I as very glad I got this, Buds did good with shipping as well.

What a surprise! I took the chance because of the low price and it paid off, as this is a solid, fun, and so far reliable gun. It's eaten 300 rounds without a single issue and runs like a well oiled machine. But be warned - it's heavy. Roughly 2 pounds unloaded, but that ends up being an advantage as the recoil isn't fierce, unlike on my full size polymer gun. Trigger pull is the heaviest I've seen yet at about 16 pounds, but after a couple of magazines I was used to it. I'm not the best shooter and I hit the bullseye quite often. Tore up the center of my targets in fact. The Arcus is a metal beast, which is where the weight comes into play. This weapon is almost all metal, with the exceptions being the slide stop, safety, and grips. The rest is rock solid and rugged. Sure, it isn't an attractive gun, but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in, well, pretty much everything else!

Well made, good looking gun. Have not fired but expect good results. Built off of the Browning HiPower frame and might be a bit of an improvement. A bit large and heavy for a deep concealment weapon but feels good in the hand and will be a formidable weapon on the range and for home or personal protection. I would not want to be on the wrong end of it. Hi Cap mag. and can also use S&W mag. which are easy to find.

I bought this gun back in May when on leave from Afghanistan as a private security contractor and I've unfortunately been only able to shoot it this past month since my return back to the states. I fired this pistol with only its initial cleaning and lube that I gave it back in May without any problems. I had one failure to feed, but that was due to me accidentally over loading the magazine, which I noticed that these magazines will fit an extra bullet in if you are determined. Just stick to the normal capacity of 13rnds or aftermarket high capacity mags and you won'tt be disappointed. I practiced three round drills to the chest and head of a man size target at 7 and 15yds and I must say the pistol was accurate, ease to manipulate, and recoil to me was non-existent. Also a plus that you can use hipower grips and magazines on this pistol. Great buy for the money.

Thanks Buds for the fast shipment. This gun is excellent. It is actually more accurate than both of my BHP's ! I have about 500 rounds trough it without a single malfunction. Finish is what you would expect for a 300 dollar gun. It points very well, and digested several different hollow points I have tried.

This is an excellent firearm. I have had it for about a month and have shot hundreds of rounds through it…Federal 115gr FMJ, Remington UMC 115 JHP, BVAC 124gr JHP, CCI Blazer 115 FMJ, Sellier & Bellot 115gr FMJ (Police) and more. With some of the lower powered rounds I’ve had a few FTEs, but when I’ve used heavy ammo like Lawman 147gr FMJ or really hot ammo like Federal 115gr +P+ JHP it has performed flawlessly. It’s all steel, the wrap-around grips are great and it’s super easy to field strip. I’m looking forward to firing thousands of rounds through this one.

great quality and design came 2mags can also use cheap hi power a.m. mags, as well as grips came caked but take sum ether starting fluid to her. about 350-400 rounds so far. i may have adefect cuz she shoots a consistent 1 in low at 10 15 yards but emphasise CONSITANT after cold bore shot tight groups im just hoping it needs more oil and break in time because she came quite stiff. standard issue pistol for bulgarian forces and straight hi power clone. will ad review after a nother couple hundrd rnds. no jams and have fed plenty of +P+ THRU HER!

My Arcus came with some kind of assembly defect. there was some small plate on the safety assembly that stuck up too high and prevented me from reassembling the pistol after cleaning it. I just took a file to the plate and problem solved, pistol reassembles fine now. It was frustrating trying to figure out why the slide wouldnt reseat on the frame though. Otherwise this is an awesome little gun, the blue finish is nice, and the stainless is a pretty matte grey. There are all kinds of markings on the pistol. there are even matching serail numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel. the feed ramp is narrow, but polished. The magazine well is beveled, but it looks like an amatuer did it with a dremel, nevertheless the mags seat and eject reliably, empty or full. the mags themselves look cheap, but function reliably. no failures yet. The pistol is not heavy at all., the weight is well balanced, and the slender frame and slide, while not as slender as the Hi-Power it is modeled after, giv e this pistol excellent concealability. I like this better than my Millenium Pro. Aside from the defect, I would have given this 5 stars.

nice piece for the money! Paid 321 before the price increase. To heavy for conceal carry but this is one very nice piece, SA is like butter right out of box, DA is a heavy pull; might get better with some more rounds thru it. Well worth the money Great gun and this time I got it from Bud's in 7 days. Shot just FMJ so far and it ate it all up with no hic-ups I have seen these at 499 on line.
