My first polymer framed pistol . Was always leery of them . Quite pleased with this pistol . Finish well done with no flaws . Handles nicely and feels good to hold . No malfunctions at the range . Accuracy with my aging eyes good for me . Considering the price for what you get a very nice pistol .

This was my first purchase through Buds and their reputation held true and they were great. The firearm itself is what I expected and am very pleased. Took it to the range a couple days after I picked it up from my FFL. The first 150 rounds were American eagle 38 grain HP and it ate through them. Then I switched over to American Eagle 40 grain lead nose. The pistol did not like these as much, the first 20 rounds were a real struggle and would have to manually eject the cartridge. After a few more clips she started loosening up and only the first 2 rounds of each clip needed to be manually ejected. Took it home, field stripped and cleaned and and oiled and am confident that after another couple hundred rounds she will break in and tear through anything. Overall great gun and fantastic experience with Buds.

This is great gun. Full size so it is similar in weight and function. Shoots very well. Have put 200 rounds through it. No FTF but several FTE but my fault for using standard velocity ammo. Unfortunately, this firearm is no longer able to be sold in California as it has fallen off the California DOJ rolls.

For target shooting or handgun training, this firearm is a must-have. It is the same form factor as other high-caliber weapons (i.e. M&P 40) but allows shooting at a much lower price per round. I did have to wait the full 7 business days before Buds shipped, but when you consider the price, ease of purchase and free shipping, the wait is a minor thing. As soon as I picked it up from my FFL I took it home and fired a magazine. My grouping was my best ever (I'm not much of a marksman). I was staying in a 5 inch group at 12 yards. The gun does feel light, and looks a bit inexpensive, but if you're not going to fire a box of ammo through it every day, it should be very serviceable. The trigger is the easiest of any .22 handgun I own (including Taurus PT-22 and Walther P22) so you can focus on the target, not the trigger. What I like about Buds is the selection and being able to buy online without having to push your way to the front of the other gun buyers that can't seem to pry themselves from the display case. If you know what you want, and the price suits you, go with Buds. You may have to be patient, but good things come to those who wait.

Great pistol! This 22 shoots both high speed and standard rounds without any problem. I tried 7 brands (3 hs 4 std) over 200 rounds with no problems. Accuracy is good but not target grade. Feel a lot like the M&P 9 that I have but a little lighter. Trigger is better than the original M&P trigger pull. It is more like the M&P with the excellent Apex sear. Highly recommended.

Great little gun. Once I got it I field stripped it and wiped the excess lube off and put it back together. Took it out the very next day and ran 50 hypervelocity rounds through it with no problems. The day after that me and the wife took it out and started plinking away....over 500 rounds of various ammo....all velocities and manufactures and only 2 FTB and 2 FTE. and that was just because some of the ammo was making the gun pretty dirty. We ran another 200 throught just 3 days ago after a good cleaning and running bulk federal ammo and it ran just fine. This is an outstanding little gun and good for training. IT's also fairly accurate I had a 10 round group about 1.5 inches big and most of the holes were touching. HOWEVER........one of the roll pins just forward of the trigger guard was workng its way loose after our long day of shooting. I got it to go back in but I hope I don't have to return it to S&W

The S&W M&P22 is a Full-size handgun! It is identical dimensionally to the standard M&P series centerfire pistols and so should not be confused with other, smaller scale weapons. This thing fits the hand perfectly and other than the .22 sized hole in the barrel, appears identical to any center fire. It has ambidextrous safety and slide release, and the mag release can be easily reversed. Fit and Finish is excellent, though many old timers will not like the billboard-like markings along both sides of the slide. Function is clean and smooth out of the box! This is a Single-action pistol that mimics the function of it's larger caliber, striker fired siblings. The M&P is hammer fired and makes use of an internal firing pin block as well as a trigger block safety. Being hammer fired it also has the external, ambidextrous thumb safety. The M&P22 has a polymer frame and does not have an adjustable back strap, though I suspect it will fit most hands quite well. Function is smooth and without grittiness. I pumped 200 rounds through it on day one and it fed and ejected ALL without issue! I LIKE this pistol, and I like that it is the exact same size and shape as S&W's larger caliber line. I live in California and required the "CA approved" model. Buds was very good about shipping the pistol quickly. This is a GREAT "little" (meaning full size) pistol that cannot fail to impress!
