DPMS Panther LR-308B .308 Win/7.62 NATO Semi Auto Rifle - Blue/Black, 18" Barrel, 20 Rounds, Synthetic, Fixed Stock

Great firearm. Have had and shot this for some years now and the gun excellent. Mounted a Nikon scope and shoots a tight group at hundred yards.

Bought this DPMS LR 308B b/c I wanted a Long Range Semi-Auto AR Style in the 308 cal using Winchester 180gr Power Points for deer hunting. Not that I shoot far at all. All of my deer hunting here in North-Central Louisiana are done in Pine Forest with very few Hard wood mixed in with it. So, I'm really a 100 yd inward type of deer hunter. Just wanted something to shoot out to 600-800 yds "JIC" like the the LR in the title states, Long Range. Topped it with a NIB Leupold 3-9x40 & went to the range. It took almost a full box of ammo just to get on paper at 25 yds. And, yes, I did follow the Manual & clean the chamber & bore after every shot. Thought it was the scope b/c I never had that much trouble getting on paper. So, I took off the scope & remounted it. Next day, back at the range & the same results. Couldn't get no-where near bullseye at 25 yds much less 100 yds. I couldn't even get on paper at 100 yds. I tried the 150grs & got a little bit better results. Then I tied Fed 150gr & sorta got a group at 25 yds. It couldn't group good enough to back off to 100 yds. So, I guess it will be a safe queen rifle b/c I'm stumped on this one. A friend of mine bought one just like mine & his is right on the money. His is a strait shooter. I guess sooner or later in life, Ur gunna run into a bad one if Ur in this game long enough. lol. Not Bud's fault for this. He only sells the guns. He dont build them. 5 stars for Buds, but only 2 stars for DPMS. I guess I was the unlucky guy on this one. Deer Man Out

Not the first DPMS rifle that I've purchased. I'm not disappointed. Rifle is well made and accurate with a vortex scope that I added. Comes with 2 mags,no sights. DPMS AR-10 platform is well done.

Very nice addition to my hunting rifle collection...haven't fired it yet but know it will be just what I wanted. The 308 is a very good all around caliber. Will do business with Buds again.....

I received this rifle quickly and in good condition. This rifle is heavy, but the weight pays off in reduced recoil. I took it to the range and fired 120 rounds of various 308 ammo without any malfunctions. The rifle shoots -1" groups at 100 yards.

Great gun. I put a timney 4 lb trigger in which greatly improved my groups from just over 1 MOA to being able to cover 3 shot groups with a quarter. Highly recommend this weapon.

This rifle is a beast! Heavy and appears to be very well made. The action is tight and the springs are pretty stout. I put 60 rounds down range today and it shot great. The recoil was surprisingly light and it had no problems with brass or steel-cased ammo. I'm also a lefty and the lack of a shell deflector presented no problems at all. The brass ejected perpendicular to the gun. So far, I'm very happy with the rifle. Great quality and excellent price from Buds.
