This ammo shoots great in my Ruger Mini 30. Not one failure to fire. Not one failure to feed, and not one failure to eject. It functioned flawlessly! Very accurate!
I was able to ring steel aiming for the head of a silhouette target and hitting point of aim every shot out to 150 yards. No misses. It hits like a hammer too! Seriously!
I would have all the confidence in the world of taking a deer or hog out to 150 to 200 yards with this gun/ammo combination. I have no doubt that that critter would be DRT!
This ammo is great. I almost always reload for my firearms, but as accurate as this ammo shoots and how reasonably priced it is, why bother?
Give this ammo a try. I'm pretty sure you will like it. I know I did.

Great price for this round. My CZ 527 and Mini 30 will shoot this into an inch at a 100yds. Good hunting round as well for hogs, have not yet tried it on deer yet. Putting together an AR in 7.62x39, hope it performs as well as my other rifles. This is very good ammo and not as dirty as many others I have shot. Bullet performance has been excellent with animals only moving a few feet before collapsing. Friends who have used it on deer have reported similar results as I have had with hogs.Zinc finish adds a bit more weatherproofing.

This ammo fired from my new Ruger american ranch rifle from a lead sled groups 1 to 1-1/2 inches at 100 yds for Russian ammo that's very good Velocity is 2440 fps and using my chronograph it was leaving the muzzle on average at 2410 fps from the 16 inch barrel, calculated muzzle energy 1611 foot pounds more than enough for deer at woodland ranges 100-150 yards.

A:Brayden, the coating is applied to the steel case to protect from corrosion. Polymer, Zinc or Lacquer all provide this. Lacquer has a higher tendency to melt and gum up when firing long streams of ammo and the rifle heats up. This ammo has a Zinc coating which is preferable 1st, Polymer 2nd and Lacquer 3rd.See 1 more answer |
