Cimarron's 1887 Lever Action shotgun is a copy of the venerable 1887. This is the lever gun that helped establish the repeating shotgun. Introduced in the West in spring 1888, this 5-shot smoothbore quickly became a success and saw fair usage during the latter years of the frontier. With nearly 64,000 of them made before 1899, the gun was carried by Arizona Sheriff John Slaughter, and the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad issued '87s to its messengers. Cimarron designed the gun using an original 1887 shotgun. The shotgun features a 20" blued barrel, 2-3/4" chamber, and the iconic look and feel of the original.

I bought this gun for shooting wild bunch cowboy shooting, it would only load 5 at first then I cut 2 3/4" off of the mag spring and can now load 5 in the tub and 1 under the carrier with action fully closed, so it's a win win for me. Nice and smooth action. As always Cimarron never fails in producing great fire arms ,I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a 87.

It is well built, better than I expected, and it is stout as hell. This thing is rough and tumble. I'm liking it a lot.

Cimarron has really knocked it out of the park with this recreation of the 1887 shotgun. It looks great and the action is buttery smooth! It functions perfectlyh and I am very satisfied with this purchase. Thank you, Bud's!!

Great Gun at a Great Price. I done my research. and look at other lever action guns, black ace, century, and so on. and the Cimarron 1887 was the only one the most people like. Watch some videos on you tube. look at other gun sites for the best price and like most of the time Buds was the winner. the gun was a little stiff at first, but I ran a box of shells though it and it smooth on out. I just got back from shooting skeet with it I hit a few, miss a bunch (that's on me) the gun work like it should. and I love this gun.

I purchased my Cimarron 1887 12 Gauge Lever action shotgun from Buds a little over a month ago and I must say that I completely satisfied with the fit and finish of this gun. The walnut used is American and has beautiful grain to it. The action needs to be man handled to function properly but it is not rough in any way. The action is just tight and will need some time to "wear " in.

Just received this great looking Cimarron 1887 lever shotgun and it looks great. The wood is very grained and looks hand rubbed and fit and finish is fantastic. Love the fact that China is not marked all over but the Cimarron logo on side looks close to the Winchester logo on a original 1887. Took out and shot 20 rounds thru and worked great, no hangups or any problems and action was slick out of the box. You guys at Cimarron did a fantastic job of making sure this 1887 was built correct and very close to original. I great buy and if you are looking for this model 1887 at a great price, buy this one and not the others I have seen. Thank you Bud's as purchased Thursday morning and shipped out same day and received this morning. This is my 5th purchase from Bud's of Cimarron weapons and will be back. Thank you all :)
