I wanted a 357 old styled hand gun with fixed sights... This is a perfect fit to my collection. A bit tight on the trigger pull, but it is flawless in over 400 rounds since I bought it. As always, Buds came through in a great price and delivery. Thanks!

So far have only taken it to the range once. I shot 100 rounds of PMC .38 special FMJ. Very little recoil. Most rounds impacted below point of aim, but fairly consistent as far as accuracy. I enjoyed it and have rounded up some heavier rounds to see if point of impact moves closer to point of aim. Absolutely no problems with the gun. Single action trigger is very crisp and super easy to reach the hammer, double action very easy as well. The only change I plan on making is to change the grips, as these are cheap feeling and a little too large for me. Glad I bought it instead of waiting until I could afford a "better" gun. Fixed sites, so not designed to be a target pistol, but definitely more than good enough for home defense. A whole lot more comfortable than a snubbie.

Purchased this as a replacement for my Colt Lawman. Good fit and finish, a bit more cylinder gap than my Colt but in all a good pistol. Accurate for a revolver and the grip is quite comfortable.

This is just the right handgun to keep in our RV. Plinking with .38 is a blast and .357 loads are perfect for defense against any animal, 4 or 2 legged. The quality of the Taurus brand just keeps getting better and better. Love this weapon.

Bought this gun to add to my collection. It shoots great. It shoots straight. What more can you expect. Love this gun.

This revolver worked very smoothly. The SA was light and the double action was smooth with rotation. Both .38 and .357 fit nicely. The downfall of this handgun was sights. Fixed sights doesn’t allow for sighting in with your personal vision. As a left-eye and right-hand dominant shooter I tend to need adjustments to sights to compensate. For home defense this is a nice gun and overall happy with my purchase.

This is the first Taurus product I have owned, and I LIKE IT! The Taurus Model 65 is a hefty, well built revolver. The fit and finish is excellent. The matt finish on the weapon is really good, and consistent all over. The cylinder lockup is very good. No rattles. The rubber grip is very comfortable and feels solid in my medium sized hand. I rarely like rubber grips, and prefer wood, but these grips are nice, and should be comfortable when shooting. I cannot find anything about this gun to complain about, or downgrade my review level. This revolver is approximately the same size as a S&W K-Frame square butt revolver, however, it fits a bit too tight in a K-Frame holster that I already had before purchasing the gun. The double action trigger isn't bad at all, and I like it. The single action is acceptable as well, and it is not what some might call a "hair trigger", and that's good for safety in single action mode. The revolver has fixed sights, which is what I wanted. I am going to paint the front sight blade flat black, or maybe orange, for contrast with the rear sight. The transaction with Bud's was easy and flawless as usual. No problems encountered. I recommend this revolver, even to a close friend.

A:Michael. the 1911 is just slightly easier to conceal due to the slimmer semi-auto design. The cylinder will cause this revolver to stick out from your body a half inch or so but won't be that bad. A good holster will make the difference.See 1 more answer | -
