After waiting for a year or three, this model finally showed back up, and I had to pounce on it. Beautiful gun, and typical built like a tank Ruger quality. Chamber throats are still a little tight, which is typical on their .45 Colts, but not near as much as in years past. That's the gun. The grips, however, look like an afterthought. Recessed .075 below the backstrap on both sides and a gap you can put your fingernail in where they meet the frame. Something I've never seen come out of Ruger before. I believe a phone call is in order. As usual, every aspect of dealing with Bud's was excellent. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I recently discovered this revolver on Buds website that is out of production in SS. I had a 5.5” model some time ago that a friend convinced me to sell to him. They are a very sturdy design that easily handles higher pressures than stock 45colt loads. I really wanted the longer model in SS and found a brand new one though out of production at a good price, so I ordered it. This was my 1st firearm purchase online and it couldnt have been easier. I paid by layaway and Buds makes this so easy. When paid in full they delivered it to a local FFL dealer near my home very quickly without issues. Thanks to the ppl at Buds for making this an easy transaction…

Buds came thru again with a great deal. Only issue I had was the fit on the grips was not clean. Had wood overhang. Send it back to Ruger and problem was fixed and revolver was returned in about 7 days.

This is a great solid revolver, typical of Ruger. I really like the long barrel too. You can't go wrong with this configuration.

I have been waiting a very long time for this specific pistol. Not to long ago I purchased a 1967 Colt New Frontier in .45LC. It had the worst trigger on any gun I have ever shot. I sent it to Long Hunters Shooter Supply out of Texas and it came back perfect. By far my nicest piece. It brings me to the Ruger. A few years back I bought my son and I this same gun in a convertible .22 and we both loved it. I love the look of the stainless with these grips. I waited approximately 6 months for this gun to be back in stock. Buds made it easy as far as the transaction and their communication was absolutely first rate. When I got the new pistol I was ecstatic to find that the trigger pull was 90-95% of what I had just paid $225 to have done to my Colt!!!! I have put at least 100 rounds through this pistol and it is absolutely everything I expected it to be in a Ruger and what I had hoped for. I LOVE THIS PISTOL! I will be proud to hand it down someday.

I really like this revolver. I load 45 Colts hot and this revolver shoots them well. It is not so heavy that it is hard to keep on target, but heavy enough to handle the recoil. Stainless revolvers are nice because no matter how dirty they get, they can be cleaned and polished up to new again. Ruger builds revolvers that for the price are good in quality, strength, accuracy, and function. It is hard to beat Bud's prices, selection, and service.

Ruger quality through and through. Super accurate revolver. I have put over 1000 rounds through it and just keeps getting better. Pleasure doing business with Bud's.

The good. Can't beat Buds for purchase of a firearm. This is a hard model to find, and as usual, buds selection tops all competitors. Shipping was quick and hassle free. Ruger Blackhawks are extremely well built and this model Blackhawk has the larger cylinder diameter, 1.732 inches, so will handle the stoutest p 45LC loads should you desire hand cannon mode, or you can load it down for just some easy plinking. It is also fun to load and shoot black powder cartridges out of this pistol. Makes a lot of smoke at the range! Accuracy is no problem--the pistol is more accurate than I am. The one complaint, the extractor rod is too short. This is something you don't discover until shooting. The rod will only push the spent cases about half way our of the cylinders. Most of the time you have to reach down with your other hand to finish extracting the fired cases. This is not a game breaker, but certainly inconvenient. I also own a Ruger New Model Blackhawk Hunter, and the extractor rod is plenty long enough to sufficiently eject the spent cases. I don't know what Ruger was thinking on this one. All in all a great firearm. And Bud's is fantastic!

This pistol is an absolute pleasure to shoot. It has now become my favorite. The .45LC is one of the calibers that I reload thus this pistol gets a lot of use without breaking the bank. Thanks Bud's for a great gun and fast service.
