Great rifle, love the new stock. The wood pattern is beautiful. These rifles are hard to come by and with many millions sold they should be in every home in the USA. Good for target shooting, small game or learning to shoot this rifle cannot be beat. Put a decent scope on mine and I am set. Came from Buds quickly and in perfect shape. Additionally, Marlin had extra cushion in the box. Hopefully this maddness with the Fed's gun grab will end and we can get some good old 22 LR back on the shelves as well.

Great fun gun. The first range trip I had some issues with jamming. Seems to be a common problem but doesn't require getting all worked up about. Took it apart, gave it a good cleaning, lubed her up and took her back out that next weekend. She cycled perfectly and is still running flawlessly. I put a 3x9 scope on it and after some lock tight I get decent groups (for me) at 50 yards. I am not a crack shot but it seems that the gun performs well for costing 162 dollars. Well worth the money!

Bought this from Buds back in March 2012. I've had one of these before when I was younger and LOVED IT!.. NEVER had any issues. Too bad I sold it. Now, I have one again and STILL LOVE IT.

I've shot many rounds through it with maybe 3 jambs, which I think was my fault or the ammo. I've shot CCI, Remington and Federals, all seem to fire just fine.

I would recommend this for a kids first rifle, and even for hunting.
