So, I decided to get a .22 auto loader. I went with the model 60 because I like the classic look of a tube fed magazine.
Very pleased with the laminated stock. Fit and finish is excellent all around. Nice smooth lines.
Field stripping it, right out of the box, I found small bits of metal shavings and grit on almost everything. CLEAN YOUR GUN BEFORE YOU FIRE IT!
At the range the little plinker performed well. 2 inch groups at 100 yards. Had a few FTF's due to ammo I suspect, and the last round, once fired, May or may not make it all the way out and will lay there in the action until you tip the gun sideways. Ammo or consequence due last round bolt hold open?.....who knows. All in all good little shooter. Accuracy is impressive.

The gun has a nice finish and shoots perfect right out of the box.

Marlin Model 60, solid rifle, no frills, gets the job done every time. I like the tube mag, makes loading the 22LR rounds easier. Stock is very nice on this rifle and came packaged from Marlin very well with no issues. Buds did ship on the 7th day per their 3-7 business day rule and I received the rifle 10 days after ordering. Had to call on the 7th business day to make sure all was good. Have had good experiences with them before so not going to bust on them like I have seen others do. $158 for a brand new Marlin 60 is a steal.

The rifle looks great. This is my first personal .22lr rifle, although my father's is used more by me than him. This is also my first tubular fed rifle. I think the rifle looks stunning compared to the stock photo, and it does it no justice. I haven't had the chance to take it out to shoot, but I have already mounted my scope to it and it will be taken out asap. The other .22lr we have has a synthetic stock and is beaten up and has no case. I wouldn't mind giving this rifle character, but I think buying a case for this rifle will be on the top of my list. Upon inspecting the rifle it was real easy to identify the safety and how to work it. It was also easy to identify how the lock switch works for the cocking mechanism. Sorry if I am not using the correct terminology. My only regret is that it took so long to get this rifle. Bud's took a total of 16 days to get me this rifle and I even paid by debit card.
