My experience, it's a...
My experience, it's a tale of 2 guns. On the 1 hand a lot of work & attention to detail was put into this gun. Real wood, authentic markings, real controls. It looks & feels like a real STG. It's fun. It's cool. More accurate than I expected. But on the negative side, it malfunctions… a lot. I blame the mag. The magazine failing to feed the last round is almost 100%, in my experience. I wouldn't call it ammo picky. It jams pretty equally. 350 rounds in with 6 types. Maybe it will improve with more shooting & cleaning, but I really think I only had 2 full magazines with 0 malfunctions. You do have to be gentle while loading to ensure rounds don't nosedive, but in my opinion, they're still going to do weird things in there. For what it's worth, I'm keeping mine. Love it as a showpiece, & want to try to improve it. But I can't rate it high for others.

Very impressed! I had...
Very impressed! I had looked at this firearm for over a year before I decided to pull the trigger, so to speak. At just over $500 it is not particularly inexpensive for a .22 LR. Is it worth it? Absolutely! It is a quite accurate replica of the German STG-44 with all of the details, both functional and cosmetic. The wooden stock with metal butt plates flank a ribbed section for shoulder weld. It includes a cleaning kit pocket with spring loaded metal lid. Functional, just like the original. It is by no means light coming in at just over ten pounds. It does however shoulder and point very well. The trigger is best described as "military utilitarian" with a rather long, spongy take up and relatively clean break. The rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation. The front sight is a protected blade that comes to a very sharp point that while accurate might take a little getting used to. The included 25 round magazine is plastic that looks realistic in general save for the loading assist button on the right side. A nice touch is a functional ejection port cover. The rear receiver cover/stock are held with a single takedown pin as the original. It is easily disassembled for cleaning. It comes with one 25 round magazine. I purchased two additional 25 rounders. For the poor folks who live in nanny states, 10 round magazines are available. Now to the range: I grabbed two 100 round boxes of CCI Mini Mag ammo, one box 40 grain copper plated round nose and one box 36 grain copper plated hollow point. Two hundred rounds latter, not a single issue with the gun. No FTF, FTE. Two duds. At ten pounds the recoil is virtually nonexistent. After I got used to the sights and made adjustments, twenty five yds all within 1.25 inches. At 50 yds 2.5 inches. Not to bad for an old man shooting offhand. lol It almost goes without saying, Bud's service was exceptional. I apologize for being long winded, but I wanted to be thorough.
