Excellent service from Buds. The gun really fits my hand and construction seems sound even though I have not shot it yet. It came fairly heavily protected with some kind of waxy finish on it, but I always clean new guns so no big deal. After a good dose of hoppes 9 and some slick 2000, it feels lke a slick action ready for firing.

Really Nice Pistol, the fit and finish are equal to Browning Hi Power and CZ pistols. The slide is super smooth and provides for a real nice feel while shooting. I recommend this gun for a HD or a truck gun. You will like this one. Service from Bud's was excellent no problems.

The Cougar is a superb firearm. For the price the workmanship cannot be beat. I am a big fan of the falling block and rotating barrel handguns and this is a excellent example of the latter. Both mechanisms modify the traditional Browning action by keeping the barrel of the firearm level rather than tilting it. This particular function reduces felt recoil, making follow up shots quicker and easier. The rotating barrel was revolutionary in the original 8000 series and is no less revolutionary today. The Cougar is the best of both worlds a revolutionary loading mechanism with an alloy frame that is heavier than the modern fad of polymer but lighter than the old guard steel. You end up with a firearm that is at the cutting edge of control-ability, carry-ability and accuracy. I have another Stoeger on order, I like it that much.

Once again Buds it was smooth dealing with you. The Stoeger Cougar is one of the best firearms on the market for dependability and accuracy, this opinion comes from owning the 9 mm , 40 cal, 45 cal and they all have been trouble free and will feed on what ever is thrown at them. For those of you wondering what they come with my last one came with two mags and a cardboard box, I understand keeping cost down but I hate receiving a NEW firearm in a cardboard box .... Just a pet peeve of mine.

This is my second Stoeger Cougar in 9 mm. I like the two tone finish version versus all black as it seems to have a much better secure grip feeling because of the finish. I am very impressed with the tight fit and finish on this firearm, and recoil seems to be less than my other non-Cougar 9 mm handguns. A very high quality firearm. I didn't want to pay the price for the Beretta, but the Stoeger Cougar is affordable.

This is a very nice gun.It shoots very soft and is pretty accurate.I shot about 80 rounds of 115 grain fmj and hollow points through it and it fed and ejected fine with no failures.I would recommend this gun,the two tone is a nice touch. I am on the lookout for the Beretta PX4 in 40s&w witch is the updated version of the Cougar.

I already have the 40 and 45 calibers, I have this one on order, if it is anywhere close to the other Stoeger Cougars, I highly reccomend you get one while they are in stock. You cannot go wrong ordering through BUDS!
