Smooth and accurate right out of the box. Beautiful finish.

Received my new rifle in a timely manner as is common when dealing with Buds. Have mounted a Weaver 3x9 scope on it but have not had the opportunity to take it to the range as yet. The only drawback I can find is that I have not been able to find a recoil pad that will fit this stock without extensive modification. I will continue to seek one that will fit without a lot of work. Rifle is beautiful and I will update review once I get it to the range.

Recently received my new BDL in .30-06 and it looks like Remington can still deliver a fine product. It's blue finish and walnut stock give it a classic old style look. It's plenty accurate too with the good quality scope I mounted on it. Once again Bud's came through with good customer service and decent prices.

Serviceable product and excellent sevice and price from buds. My local ffl and I went over this rifle meticulously before I signed off on it, it really is a must when buying a firearm this way so grease some palms if you have to. The rifle, out of the box on sandbags shot 1.25 to 1.5 moa with factory core loct 180 and 165 gr ammo which is acceptable hunting accuracy. I reckon the barrel is supposed to be free floated from the factory as there is no barrel tension bumb in the stocks barrel groove but there was a bunch of shalack drippings in the stock that were putting load on the barrel so shooting offhand and using the sling as a vice would scatter rounds all over creation I bedded a small area around the recoil lug and front stock bolt and sanded out the barrel groove and now it shoots .5 to .75 moa with the same ammo in 5 shot groups. So a bit of meticulous tinkering goes a long way here. The plastic buttstock is cheesy and unkind to the shoulder so I replaced it with a limbsaver knockoff. I was a bit nervous about remington but I would recommend a bdl to anyone who needs a good sturdy rifle large game

Remington is a premier American gun maker, make no mistake. The "BDL"series shows that they're committed to quality.This rifle is an excellent example of their engineering and craftmanship with longguns. Besides being beautiful, I was delighted with the fit, feel and workmanship that Remington put into it. The trigger came set at about 3 lbs which is good enough for my purposes. Topped with a Leupold 3-9x40 scope, it'll soon go to the range for sighting it. Dollar for dollar it's better out-of-the-box than some other domestic offerings. I'm proud to own it.

Nice shooter-much better than I expected given the last few years of Remington. This gun is great at what it’s known for-great trigger awesome accuracy and classic good looks. Will be an excellent gun for deer and elk. Shipping was fast and price was respectable. I try to do business with Buds because they’re pretty solid on delivery-and they support Hickock 45.

Bought the Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 and Buds was a pleasure to work with. Shipping was fairly quick too. The fit and finish on this rifle is gorgeous. Very comfortable to shoulder and shoot. I was a little leery at first about purchasing this rifle cause of a lot of negative comments on the web concerning Remington/Marlin products but Remington got it right with this rifle! I wanted this rifle for a long time and I'm glad I got it...no regrets!
