Hi Michael, actually that is not true. It is 6+1 with either 2.75" or 3" shells. If you do the math, six 3" shells = 18 inches of tube. You cannot get seven 2.75" shells in the same tube. (7 X 2.75 = 19.25) Stay safe & have a great day!

"Ed C." Is 100% correct! The exception here is you can load in (10)-1.75" Shorty Shells though! That comes in at a total of 17.5" in the tube.

Ed Cs logic is correct but his number are off a loaded 3 inch shell measures 2.6 inches not 3 and a 2 3/4 measures 2.25 inches the shell length is the length of the hull after firing by my calculations you could put 6.66 2 3/4 shells in the mossberg which is .75 inches to short
