Hi Brian, no sir, All Henry H001 series rifles now come with metal barrel bands and metal front sights. Henry used to put plastic barrel bands on their rifles, and the basic H001 models used to have plastic front sights. In response to customer feedback, Henry switched to metal barrel bands and front sights. Stay safe & have a great day!
