Does it shoot 223 as well as 5.56? It only says 5.56 in the description it's the only thing holding me back from getting one

Absolutely shoots Both! If a rifle states chambered for the higher pressured 5.56 cartridge then it can also shoot .223. Not the other way around though!

Yes, and the same is true for everything marked 5.56 NATO. The reverse is not necessarily true but still fine in most cases.

Hi Brian and welcome. Yes, the barrel is stamped 5.56NATO so it will shoot 5.56 and the lower pressure .223 no issue. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
