This is what is being called a "Remlin" 😆 Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. manufactures the Marlin 1894 SBL .357 Magnum Lever Action Rifle. Ruger acquired Marlin Firearms from Remington Outdoor Company in 2020. Here are some details about Marlin rifles made by Ruger: The barrel will be marked "Mayodan, NC" The left side of the rifle will have an "RP" proof mark The serial prefix of Ruger-made Marlin rifles will start with "RM" The grip will have a laser-engraved Marlin Horse and Rider logo The rifle stock will have a red and white Marlin bullseye instead of the traditional black and white So you won't know I'm guessing until it is in hand to inspect markings.
