Hornady A max 300 aac blackout 208 gr subsonic. All I can find is that this is practice ammo does anyone know if this is good personal protection ammo

This ammunition is suitable for self-defense as well as some tactical situations Andy. The A-Max is a proven Hornady bullet design and is very effective at a broad range of velocities. I actually keep my AK loaded with the Hornady 7.62x39 123gr SST which is similar. There are many deer kills with 300blk subsonic on you tube.
