Hi Jamie, it is not real silver, the frame is steel with a silver engraved finish. The barrel & cylinder are steel with a blued finish. As long as you keep it clean, it should not tarnish. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi Jamie and welcome. It is just a Silver colored finish over Stainless Steel. Solid Silver is much to soft to be used as a core metal for firearms. The finish is durable and will not tarnish with proper maintenance. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
