Hi Jerre and welcome. This model has a moderate rack effort. Many folks hold the grip stationery and rack with one hand. To make racking easier, push forward with the grip hand while simultaneously pulling the slide back to distribute effort to both hands for easier racking. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Jerre, racking the slide feels twice as hard as a Glock. For someone with arthritis or weak hands, I would not recommend. Not a gun for those without gorilla fingers. Stay safe & have a great day!
