No, just .45 Long Colt. Aside from the significantly different dimensions and pressure ratings (much higher for .45 ACP), this and most other lever actions are not equipped to feed rimless cartridges like .45 ACP and require the rim that .45 Long Colt has in order to manipulate and chamber the cartridge reliably as well as headspace it properly in the chamber.
No you CAN NOT use 45 ACP in a rifle chambered in 45 Colt. The ACP is a rimless case and the Colt is a rimmed case. In SOME revolvers you can use both but the 45 ACP has to use the moon clips. These revolvers are specially made to use both rounds.
Hi James and welcome back. This model is chambered in and will fire .45 Long Colt and not .45ACP. For warranty and safety reasons, "Do Not Fire" .45ACP. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
