At this time they are legal without and special paperwork. The courts stopped the BATF from changing the rules

Hi Mark, the courts overturned the ATF ruling that banned pistol braces. They are once again legal and the brace will not turn your pistol into a SBR, so no tax stamp is needed. Stay safe & have a great day!
