I currently live in SC, and have Illinois Firearms Identification Card. Can I purchase a a handgun or long gun on line and do the transaction (transfer) in South Carolina with Illinois ID's?

Hi Manuel and welcome. Unfortunately, not handguns Sir, unless you are a SC Resident with SC credentials. Only long guns can be purchased across State lines by out of state residents by federal law. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Manuel, you do not need a Firearms ID card to buy a handgun in SC, all you need is a government issued ID with your current address. You can use your SC driver's license. It's the same for long guns. You can buy on line and have shipped to a FFL of your choice in SC. (Your Illinois FOID card is good in Illinois only)
