Hi Gary, the Impulse has a medium contour, carbon steel, fluted barrel, threaded (5/8-24"). The Impulse family of rifles employs a manual, two-position safety – Full Safe and Ready to Fire. The safety selector does not automatically move to the full safe position when the bolt is opened and closed. It must be moved manually. Stay safe & have a great day!
