Just my personal opinion Misti, NO. This pistol falls in the category of the Jennings/Bryco pistols. They are cheap and cheaply made, I would not recommend this to anyone looking to defend their life. There are much more reliable and safe inexpensive pistols out there. The Taurus PT-111 G2 can be found for slightly over $200.
