Hi Rob, the faux suppressor is pinned/welded to bring the barrel to the legal overall length of 16", otherwise it would be a short barrelled rifle. When pinned/welded, the muzzle device counts as part of the barrel length. It cannot be removed. Stay safe & have a great day!
