It appears as if the Kimber Rapide Frost .45ACP Semi Auto Pistol - 8+1 Rounds, 5" Barrel, Stainless/Silver slide has been modified to accept a red dot. However, when reading in the description along with reading the name, it does not have "OR" within the name nor does it list in the description that it accepts a red dot. Can anyone clarify this for me so I will know whether to purchase this or not.

Hi John, yes sir, this is optics ready. The rear sight is built into the cover plate, so you will lose the rear sight if you install an optic.
