I just read the manual and there is a pressure sensor on it that should turn this off for most holsters. It looks like it is only a pressure sensor and 1 battery will give you 4 hours of illumination.

I just check my P938 viridian and there is a button on the left side of the laser that you can use to manually turn it on and off
