Fixed sights on a Glock are sights that are not adjustable and are usually installed at the factory: Durability Fixed sights are more durable and can withstand rough handling and harsh conditions. They are less likely to shift or break, making them a good choice for self-defense or duty firearms. Adjustability Glock front sights are screwed in place and are not adjustable. Adjustments are made to the rear sight, and only for windage. Replacement Glock OEM steel sights can be used as a replacement for the original plastic sights that come with the gun. A sight drift tool is required to install them properly. Glock also offers steel self-luminescent sights that contain a small tritium element. This element glows green in low light conditions, so the sights are illuminated without needing to be exposed to a light source first.
