Yes, as soon as it detects motion it activates. MOTAC stands for Motion Activated Illumination and is a technology used in Sig Sauer sights to increase battery life: How it works MOTAC turns the sight on when it detects movement and off when it's idle. The sight will automatically turn on to the last brightness setting used. How long it waits The sight will turn off if it's motionless for a set amount of time, such as 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes. How sensitive it is MOTAC is very sensitive, so the sight must be completely still to trigger it.
