Springfield Armory's XD-M 2 and XD-M 3 models (such as the XD-M Elite or XD-M 3.8") use different magazine designs, so magazines from the XD-M 2 series are generally not compatible with the XD-M 3 series. Your best bet is to check with Springfield Armory directly regardimg compatibility to ensure you are using the correct magazine type. Hope this helps man.
