What would you do? New to handguns. I have shot both the PX4 Compact and the older XD9SC! Like both. Don't like the more detailed cleaning with Storm, concerned I might mess up with reassembly and go off in my hand! I have extra ext mags for MOD2, if my older XD9SC uses same as MOD2??

Yes, the older XD9Sc magazines are compatible with the MOD2 pistol. The Springfields seems like the best option in your case. The MOS2/XC0C has similar take-downs.

Yes the mags are compatable. the reassembly get easier with practice. UNLOADED gun cant go off in hand during reassembly.

That is a very important fact. Safety check of all firearms before disassembly is key to preventing accidental discharges. Even difficult or tricky firearms to take down will become easier with time. I say go with the pistol you like best and practice proper safety measures and you will be fine. It gets easier as you develop experience. We all have been there at the beginning.
