Buds sells competitive manufacture's, no low end pawn shop pistols.
Well, Bryco or Jiminez, are really not know for quality or reliability and some speculate that they have had some financial troubles. My understanding is even a lot of distributers don't even keep them in stock. So for retailers, if their distributor doesn't carry, they in turn cannot. Now Cobras and Hi-points are arguably of the cheaper variety. But they actually offer a variety and have somewhat of a base reputation (especially Hi-point) of at least being usable. The Jimenez pistols are arguably the definition of a saturday night special and not many places do sell them, bud's included. If that is the type of pistol you are in the market for, maybe the Cobra is for you. Their slides are a little beefier, and other than that they are pretty similar.
Perhaps you should ask them, but my guess is that they don't want to be associated with such low quality guns as Jimenez. A friend of mine had one - nothing but problems. Besides, nowadays you really don't have to pay much more for good quality guns. The extra few dollars would be well spent if the quality (and reliability in particular), are the differences that save your life.
I have wondered the same but it could be a case of Jiminez not being able to provide the volume necessary on the site or they haven't been able to hammer out a deal. I think the more options, the better...personally
Because there not safe.
