There is no doubt on the quality and great reviews on this pistol Randall (There is a reason Sig won the last Militaty Contract for handguns). Standard SAAMI 8mm Target and Self defense ammunition will all run fine. I would recommend a 124gr Hollow Point as optimal. Any pistol accessories will work with the integrated rail but I would do that later and invest in ammunition to become more proficient with it first.

Hi Randall, I own 5 P226 pistols and these are some of my favorites. They're hard to beat when it comes to feel in your hand, trigger pull and accuracy. For ammo I use the Sig ammo 124gr Hollow also no issues. You can't beat a Sig Sauer!
