Back around 2013-2014 there were many internet reviewers (many means many/ multiple) who claimed their gun fired when it was closed. Returns to/ from the factory was slow and generally unsuccessful in fixing them.

Not seeing any similar complaints here I'm hoping it's been resolved. I really want to like this gun (for grandson) but not if its unsafe.

This is a recent manufactured firearm and this particular issue has been resolved.
