Hi Joseph and welcome. Yes, shooting .45 Colt in a .454 Casull is like firing .38 Specials in a .357 Magnum. Just remember to clean the cylinder after shooting 45 Colt to remove the carbon ring buildup of the shorter case. Cheers and stay safe!
