It is either a Gen 2 or a Gen 3. There is no way to tell by looking at it. The differences are internal. The Gen 3's started somewhere in the 18,000 range of serial numbers. We are customers like yourself and do not have access to firearms. Also, you can't tell by going to the Tippmann web site, the Gen 2 and 3 models look exactly the same on the outside. If you could get the serial number from Bud's, you could tell which gen it is. Stay safe & have a great day!
