Hi Joshua and welcome. Yes, the Winchester Model 70 is a tried-and-true platform. 325 Winchester Short Magnum may be a bit much for just deer though but works. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

it is s a good reliable gun however it is a lot more gun than needed to hunt deer I suggest a 270 or 308
